Cincinnati, OH-July 2, 1998 My friend, Daniel O. Willis, was struck and killed in the early morning hours of July 2, 1998. No one knows why he was in the place he was in when he was killed, and most of all, no one knows who killed him. Apparently, from what we do know, Danny was first beaten, because the injuries to the back of his head were more severe than what the impact of the car could have possibly inflicted. It then appears as if he got away (he was on foot)...there were blood spatters on the street that he staggered along for almost 3/4 of a mile. A passing motorist noticed that in the wee hours of July 2, 1998, there was a young man stumbling up the street, coming toward her direction. She thought nothing of it, maybe he was just drunk, she thought. Upon dropping off her guest at there destination, and coming back down along the street, she saw Danny lying limp on the road, dead. She called 911. Danny was lying in the street 10 miles from home. Why? ! The coroner concluded that Danny had head injurires prior to death, and that's where the blood spatters 3/4 of a mile down the road originated from. There was a large tree on the side of the road where Danny was killed. More than likely, the street was dark, and he was hurt, so he stumbled into the street to avoid the tree. That's when he was struck by a car. The driver did not stop. Perhaps they were drunk, and was scared, perhaps they had no insurance and feared losing their license, or perhaps they thought they hit an animal. Or even worse, they know what they did, and just don't care. Both of Danny's legs were broken, and his left eye was sunken into his head. On a residential road were the speed limit is 35mph, the perpetrator would have had to been going at least 50-65mph. There was one column in the Cincinnati Enquirer, a couple lines long, two weeks after his death. There was a few lines mentioned on the T.V. Yet when one of the local children was missing, ! it was plastered all of the newspapers and T.V. They may not care about Danny, but I do, and I want to know who did this to him. The police narrowed the search down to all 1988-89 Honda Accords with front end damage. They still don't have a color yet. Please help. Danny ws only 22 years old, and had his whole life ahead. The killer not only took away a good friend, he took away a father: Danny had a five year old girl named Tayler. How do we explain what happened to daddy?
