I am searchng for my Father. He was last heard of in 1955. His name is HERMAN JOSEPH SCHULTZ, Sr.,DOB 2/18/28 I believe. He was born and raised in New York, in an orphanage..his Mothers name was DOROTHY and was a patient in the Islip Mental Hospial . He worked for a time at The Suburban Animal Hospital, in Falls Church, Va., for a Dr. Wolfe. Dr. Wolfe received a telegram to my father in 1981, stating that his mother had passed away. He served in the Marine Corps and has a burial place in Arlington National Cemetery that has yet to be used. My Mother was murdered in Alexandria, Virginia in January 1954...buried at Arlington National Cemetery, LORRINE EVELYN BROWN SCHULTZ, along with her Mother EDNA BROWN,who is buried in Faifax, Va. I also understand that an Uncle on my Mothers side, SONNY BROWN, was injured with gunshot, as well as my father, who was shot in the shoulder and pinky finger . I (Teresa), was dropped when my mother was shot, and as a result, have a scar on my forhead in the shape of a tic-tac-toe mark, or pound mark on the telephone keypad. My brother, HERMAN, (DOB 2/24/49) was old enough to remember the incident clearly. I, Teresa, (DOB 10/6/51) remember nothing, other than what I have been told, and read in the local newspapers. My brother and I were placed in Foster Care after a year or so, since our father was unable to take care of us. We were placed with a family by the name of HORNBAKER, in Hermdon, Va. Our father used to visit us with our Mother's sister, Francis , who is still living today,in Alexandria, Va. In our early teen years, we were seperated. We keep in touch today as much as possible. He still lives in Virginia. He has never married. He I married in 1969 and bore a son, Jimmy, who is now 29...divorced in 1975, and remarried, and now live in Florida , with my husband Tom, and daughters Kelly and Michelle. In 1970, my brother and I went to visit Aunt Francis and she took a photo of us, and tried to have her brother in law tell her where our father was, seems he kept in touch with our father, but he refused any info, stating, 'you only want to know where Joe is, and I'm not gonna tell you'....since then we have searched all over, my brother was in the Navy for a few years and searched every port he came to...we have had no luck. We are searching for our father just to know him, we want nothing that he is not willing to give, we don't hold him reasponsible for anything that happended to us . DAD, if you're out there somewhere, please contact us. We need to know what the real story is. I had a medical scare a few years ago, and realized there is no history. We had a great life, but often wonder what it would have been with our Father. It has made me appreciate my family for what they are, My Family!!
