Eva Nevel (Smith) was found decomposed in a shallow grave behind her father-in-law's barn over 20 years ago (around 1965-75), and no arrests were made that I am aware of. Her husband Roy Nevel was a mean guy as far as I recall and they had a lot of kids and they were poor. Roy drank a lot. The children were afraid of their father, and they grew up with the help of his mother. Roy and Eva lived in Cincinnati, Ohio when she turned up missing. My Uncle Joe Schuman had gone to their house, and the kids were left alone, one of them in a play pen, others very young, none old enough to babysit. That was when they started searching. I have not gotten any cooperation from the Hamilton County P.D. as of yet, so I need everyones help here. When they found the remains, she was pronounced dead, case closed, BUT, in 1991 (over 20 years later) Eva Nevel shows up in Cincinnati Ohio and visits relatives! They say it was definately her! She said she had been hiding in Alabamma, and was ! on her way to Indiana, and that Roy Nevel would kill her if he knew she was there. He made her leave. SO, WHO WAS THE DEAD BODY IN THE SHALLOW GRAVE WITH THE long REDDISH HAIR? How it changed my life:I don't like deception, and come from a honest family, this man has destroyed my faith in family relationships with my Aunts and other relatives. I would have liked to know Eva's children, now they have grown and left Ohio in fear of their father.
