God is truly in control of all circumstances and situations in ones life. It becomes so real and first hand as a truely personal ecounter with God Himself as He reveals Himself to us through His Spirit. I too had a miraculous experience, while camping with my family in northern Arizona in Sept. of 1998. It was 11:30 at night when I was awaken by our dog barking outside the tent. It was then I discovered the classic symptons of a heart attack taking place. We immediatley headed for the nearest medical help some 6o miles away. Through our cell phone we reached help and paramedics were in route cutting the distance in half. At 12:30 AM we met on the highway, it was within a minute after that when my heart stopped. In the cab of our pickup truck I was shocked with difibulators and revived. When we finally reached the emergencey at the hospital it stopped again, only to be revived once again. What a miracle God worked in the face of death. My favorite verse I kept quoting during this entire event was from Psalms 46:1 " God is my refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble"
I too, now look at life with a much different perspective. How short it is, and how quickly it can be taken away. You never know when you get up in the morning what the day will bring. Most of our battles each day are small potatoes compared to the relations we have with family and friends and especialy ones personal relationship with with our Almighty Creator.
