Teen Angels or Teen Ghosts?   Author: 17  Category:(Angels) Created:(9/20/2006 3:13:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (2354 times) In or around the mid-1960's, I believe, in South San Antonio six teenagers were hot-rodding around town. Their car stalled on a railroad track and all suffered gruesome deaths when a train demolished their vehicle. I remember hearing and reading about their deaths, as I was also a teenager and my parents were consistent in reminding me of the dangers of 'cruising' and the like; however, I cannot remember the exact year and subsequently forgot all about it. One afternoon about two years ago, while Christmas shopping with a friend, she said 'remember those kids who were killed on that railroad track when we were in school?' I told her I vaguely remembered but did not believe the stories. Neither did she. Feeling adventurous {but skeptical} in our old age, we decided to cross the tracks and she shifted to neutral gear right in the middle of the crossover. SOMETHING OR SOMEONE literally 'forced' a 1 ton GMC pickup over the hump. She turned completely white and I was aghast. We promised never to tell anyone what we did and thank God no one saw us pulling this stunt. It has been said for many years that whomever becomes 'stuck' on this crossover will be pushed to the other side by the ghosts of these teenagers, or the 'angels' these kids became after they died. It has also been told by many San Antonio drivers that in the wee hours of the morning, they have actually seen the kids pushing cars over the 'hump' all dressed as they were in the mid-60's, the boys complete with leather jackets, pegged levi jeans and duck tail hair-dos and the girls with bobbie socks, full skirts and petticoats, and 'ratted' hair. How it changed my life: It didn't then. Now it's just a good ghost story that I experienced.
