The year was 1982,and it was a round January third,and GOD performed a miracle in my life.My story, my entire life, from the age of fifteen to about thirty three,i was an acute chronic alcoholic drinking just about every day, until i ran out of money,or just passed out. I had been through many sobriety programs,but the longest i ever remained sober was around nine months. I was raise in the catholic religion,and i did believe in GOD,but i was too busy drinking and feeling sorry for myself, to even think about asking him about my problem. So i just continued drinking,and drinking, and drinking, as long as the drink had alcohol in it.I drank myself into the army,survived five years in the military,and drank myself out of the army. After about nineteen years of being a chronic active alcoholic, i finally was sick and tired of my life as it was. Well i knew i couldnt kill myself,cause i was taught that if you commit suicide,you have a good chance of going to hell,plus i wa! s to scared to kill myself. So i decided to ask GOD, IN JESUS NAME, TO either HEAL me of this alcohol problem,or let me die in my sleep. After praying that prayer, i Fell into the best sleep, that i had ever had,in the last nineteen years. I awoke the next morning and remembered, that i had drank about five cases of beer in the last five days,and i also remembered that i had asked GOD to HEAL me. I put my hand flat in front of my face, and my hand was steady as a rock, not shaking at all. Then i felt the bed to see if it was totally wet, from either swetting out the alcohol,or from my wetting the bed to release the alcohol,and the bed was totally dry. I could hardly believe this,so i pinched myself to see if i was really alive,and i was as it hurt. So i then go downstairs to the fridgerator, and there was one can of beer in it,so i told GOD i was going to drink it, and if he healed me, i would not need any more alcohol drinks. I opened the beer and drank it all in about three ! swallows,and i have to tell you it tasted like the purrest water i ever drank. I have had no desire since then,to drink any more alcohol,and i have held my present job almost seventeen years. I wish to thank ALMIGHTY GOD,and HIS SON JESUS CHRIST,for this MIRACULOUS HEALING IN MY LIFE. What GOD AND JESUS DID FOR ME,HE WILL DO FOR YOU,IF ONLY YOU ASK HIM. THANK YOU GOD AND JESUS
How it changed my life:I am now responsible for all my actions,and a hard working,tax paying citizen with my self esteem and dignity.
