i just now heard about the FAMOUS spook light. I am going out to see it soon! I hope that it really is a real thing because I don't like wasting my time! |

I lived within a mile of the spooklight for most of my growing up day,s.My grandmother used to tell us stories about when she was a young girl, and how she and all her friends would go to the light in a horse and buggy. My mother went in a modle T ford. And I went in a hot rod. My how have the times changed! or have they... |

I own the old spooklight museum and actually the Hornet Spooklight is not in Joplin.It is on the stateline of Seneca,Mo and Oklahoma. |

Too the people who have seen it, congratulations. I too have seen it several times. To those that think that going out one time that you will see it, think again. I've been out there many times and not seen it compared to the times that I have seen it is about 80% against seeing it. But as for documentation of the spooklight check out In Search of with Leonard Nemoy. It was one of their feature stories. Its has also been studied by the University of Michagan and the Army Corp of Engineers. |

Well I am one to admit that I do believe in the Hornet Spook Light and I am proud to say I have come close to it. It was no more than 10 feet in front and above me when it went by. I was sceptical at first but then people from all around where we were asked me if I was ok. That is the closest I have ever been to anything like that. To everyone who believes in the HSL please let me join you in believing...Thank You...Crickett in Kansas... |

I used to live in Joplin. I have seen the Spooklight many many times. It actually came up and sat on the bumper of my car. I am glad no one knows what it is and I hope they never find out. It would spoil the fun. This was a good story. Thanks for it. God Bless, Sam, Nashville. |
