I found this site by pure chance, but while i'm here i feel it important to tansfer my experience across. It was a thursday evening, it was dark approximately 8.00pm the date was 18th Dec 1992. I'll never forget the date. Anyway i live right apposite a well known football ground and this night they had football trianing so the flood lights were on but not on full beam as it was not a league match, the lights were shut off at 7.15 as they always are on practice days. I was made aware 45 minutes later that something was out of place across the way, so i rushed up to the window to find something i'll never see again in this lifetime. It was a definately cigar shaped. It wasn't almightily lit up, but the light it did give off gave a clear impression as to its shape. there were approximately 5 green lights around the middle diametre of the craft followed by a single white light at the bottom of the craft. The green lights were revolving anticlockwise and very slowly, at least one full revolution of the craft every 7 seconds. The craft was now hovering directly above the football ground! at an incredidle low height where it stayed for approximately 2 1/2minutes. The size of the object was hard to distnguish my estimate would be that of 30 -40 feet wide and only a few maybe 8 feet high. At this point the object began to slowly move away horizontally from the football. Due to its slow movement I decided to obtain a better view from another window, This action took me no less than 5 -6 seconds By the time i had cast my eyes out of the window it had disappeared. I was left with only what I can describe as is a noise that wasn't loud at all but you knew it wasn't MAN PRODUCED. Luckily I wasn't the only one who saw this, and someone from another area did as well and he reflected exactly the same sighting as I did, only he saw the object disappear quite literally he said one second it was there and then the second it wasn't, I have assumed that this disapearance was the noise that I heard.
