Ever since I was a child as far back as I can remember, I have experienced images or visions. They occur mostly while my eyes are closed, for example, during a long blink, or when I'm trying to sleep. These images are of faces. They come from a distance in the darkness of my closed eyes and I watch them 'approach' me. The faces are 'devilish' and usually frighten me to the extent that I am afraid to continue trying to fall asleep. Sometimes, the faces jump out unexpectedly in a startling manner during a blink. Sometimes they are accompanied by objects or placed in a setting. Eg. meadows, forests, horse ranges and objects such as notepads, crucifixes, ornaments and any object. Even as I am writing this now I can close my eyes and it will happen. It occurs from once or twice a week to thirty times a week. I am 24 years old and so frightened of the dark. I have never slept without a light on. This is because when I open my eyes in the dark, the images are still there. I have always been a vivid sleep dreamer as if watching a television screen, and 80% of my dreams leave impacts that can last for days. I am also a night terror sufferer and sleepwalk continuosly. I have experienced psycic phenomenon. Some could be passed off as coincidence, but have had some profound experieced as well. The only problem is I don't remember making the prediction. I am reminded by whom ever I told them to. One experience that I look back upon, my mother had to slap me because I was frantic, ranting, crying and screaming while experiencing a preminision. Do I just have an active imagination or brain? That was the diagnosis from my childhood doctor, and faith is the number one thing in my life. Can anyone tell me what is happening to me? How it changed my life:I am losing alot of sleep. And my husband wants my 3 year old child to sleep in the dark but there is a conflict because I understand the fear in my way and will not enforce it.
