I Believe

My wife had a heart attack while we were on a sailboat cruising the Chesapeake. We were fortunate to be anchored in the harbor of St. Michaels, MD where they have a very efficient and alert Fire Department. My wife was rushed to nearby Easton, Md where shewas treated quickly with a miracle drug to dissolve the blood clot. The next day she was taken to the U. of M.Medical Center where they did an angioplasty which failed but were finaloly able to install a stent. at the point of the stent application her artery split causing blood to leak into the chest cavity. As her blood had been thined for these procedures, now it had to be thickened to stop the bleeding. That night it was a touch and go situation and my family, which had rushed to be with us and I stayed ina nearby hotel. My wife and I are very close and have been married over 53 years. I was beside myself and couldn't even think of sleeping and yet I was exhaused. One sone stayed with me in my room so I layed quietly as! to not disturb him. About 4:00 AM I layed there praying for my wife, a hand was placed heavily on my shoulder and a low woman's voice said very plainly 'She'll be alright! She'll be alright'. I seemed to immediately sense that this had to be the hand of GOD or my Guardian Angel. As the hand left my shoulder I became completely relaxed and actually felt the tension slip away. I have long been an active church member but a thinking person always wonders if these things are true. I now felt completely justified in my beliefs. I really felt that I had been touched by God and had nothing to fear. I fell immediately to sleep and worried no more. My wife was in the hospital there for a week and had some other complications. I feared not as I believed my Guardian Angel.

It is wonderful to know that there is a God and Guardian Angels. I have a strong purpose in life, to help others.
