Who's Knocking On That Door?

I had had a hard day at school and was looking forward to a good night sleep. I was showering down when I heard the doorbell ring.I quickly wrapped the towel round myself and opened the door to find a dark shadow standing there. I froze to the spot,unable to move.I can't really describe how it looked but it kind of wore a dark black cloak and its hood was drapped across its face.I tried to scream but I couldn't.I know this story might sound false but I had to tell someone about it because no one else would believe me.Not even my Mum or Dad and that really hurt.As I was saying,the shape just stood there,looming over me like a tower.It was roughly 7ft 5inches.Eventully I gathered enough guts to slam the door. I slumped on the ground with my face in my knees,shaking like crazy.I then stared at the door,wondering if it had dissapeared.After i had calmed down a little I stood up,gripping my towel close to my chest.I slid back to the living room doorway and made for the window which over looks the porch. I slowly peered through the window and to my relief the strange shape had vanished.I could now scream my heart out.After I had a few cups of tea I tried to think of all the possible reasons that could explain the figure but none were to be found.That night as I started drifting of to sleep, the covers started to fall of so I tried to pull them back over me.They would not budge.I pulled harder and harder but they still did not move.I looked up and to my horror the shape was sitting at the end of my bed swaying back and fourth.Again I tried to scream but the words were stuck.This time I summoned up my courage and tried to speak to the ghost.'why are you here?' I asked shakely.The figure turned and for the first time I saw its eyes.They shone red but I sensed a slight saddness in them.It didn't reply to my question. It just vanished instead.I felt a sense of relief and I could get on with my life but I shall never forget that day when that incident happened.

I felt good about myself.I think I helped it rest but I'm not certain that I did. All I know is that it has never returned.
