In 1987 I was diagnosed with a Cranialphryngioma, which means brain/mind tumor. I was only 8 year old at the time and missed a lot of school. I lost 50% of my vision in both left corners of both of my eyes, had no hair because it was all shaved off for the surgery, and I had gained a lot of weight from the medication I was taking. In 1990 I had a reccurance and the only other option was radiation. My mom and I were recommended to a radiologist here in Portland, Oregon at Emanual Hospital. The radiologist had never heard of my type of tumor and had never had a case like mine and I would lose all my hair and all the rest of my vision that i still had. We then called my father's uncle, who is also a neurosurgeon and said that he would look into the different radialogists down there in SanFrancisco. Within the next week he found a doctor at UCSF. After all the details were worked out my great aunt and great uncle invited us to stay with them in there house in Sausilito for the 2 months. When I arrived at my first appointment a woman in her late 20's to mid 30's was sitting at the reception desk. With in no time at all we were best friends. Her name was Angie Ralston. We had some of the same things in common such as jewelery makeing. But my mom and I would constantly ask her to come and join us for lunch and every time she answered with a 'No.' Almost after my 2 months were up I had an M.R.I. to see if the tumor had shrunk. My father had come down for it and all my nurses and doctors were there all except for Angie. It was good news, my tumor had shrunk more than my doctors had even expected it to. Angie had introduced me to some children that were my age and worse off than me. After my scans were looked at my radiologist said I could go home. I was over joyed. My last day, I came in just to say good bye to all the friends I had made and especially Angie. I walked in to see Angie and tell her all the good news and she wasn't there. My doctor told me that she had quit. I asked where she was, do you know her address? They didn't know why she quit, where she went or her phone number or address. She had disappeared. I have been looking for Angie Ralston for 7 years now and I have gone through every talk show and been denied every time. Her name is Angie Ralson. She is married and the only thing that I have to remeber her is 2 necklace charms and some earrings that she gave me and she told me that they were her grandmother's. Please help me find Angie. You are my last hope. If you can't find her then she must have been an angel. How it changed my life:She got me through the toughest spots during my time in San Francisco. She always made me laugh when i cried.
