She was the 3rd real friend I made in my adulthood. When my ex-husband was knocking me down mentally and emotionally to keep me totally dependant on him she kept picking me back up. He'd convince me I was bad in a negative way and that no one in my family thought much of me, he wanted me to believe that he was the only one I could rely on and that he was the only one who really loved me. I'd wake up everyday thinking only of doom and that I was going to die. I didn't realize the affects my ex-husband was causing me until she came into my life. She would convince me that there was nothing wrong with me and that he was the one that needed help. I was a mess from this marriage but she helped me build up my self confidence again. I became a new person thanks to her. I miss her dearly. She was one of a kind. Last time I saw her she lived in San Diego, CA. I saw her last in 1984. UPDATE: I left this man in 1984. I am re-married and happily content within myself and with eveyone around me. But I would love to find Virginia so we can re-kindle our friendship. Why we are looking for them: She was very important in my life at a time someone was trying to tear me down and take away my identity. I need her in my life now that I have found myself so that we can enjoy eachother on an equal level. At that time I was a mess.
