| Date: 9/16/1999 6:08:00 PM From Authorid: 168 I am 27 and have been having the same thing happening to me since I was younger as well. I know how you are feeling. I can't explain why this happens to us. I hope you are able to cope with it. |

I was once like you, and I talked to a person that knows about dreams. She recommended me to do this: When you are ready to go to sleep, think that you want and you will remember your dream the next morning, Leave a paper and a pen next to your bed and go to sleep. In the moment that you open your eyes the next morning,''don't move'', and try to get anything (stop thinking that you can't remember),just take any image or thought and start writting, even if you think that it doesn't make sense, when you finish writting everything that you remembered, start reading it and you will see that you will get the whole story. It's very important that you practice this and you'll see that very soon you will start to know and to remember exactly what you dreamed. Good luck! A friend from Cancún, Mexico. |

This ALWAYS happens to me too, nothing too significant yet. But I'm going to start writing down the dreams I remember, so I can look back. ![]() |

Oh my gosh! I'm sorry but I'm kinda of shocked! Ive never visited this web site until to today and I could wrote the very same experience myself! I thought I was the only one that happened to! Except I've had them since I was eleven, it was my close cousin who died. Except now I dream the future and remember most of it,(but I still get dejavou all the time)and alot of my dreams have symbolizm. But don't forget it's cool, too! |
| Date: 10/8/2000 7:33:00 AM I am now 36. I remember having deja vu experiences from childhood. When I was in my twenties, I realized that there was a connection to what I was seeing at the time, and past dreams. Most of the dejavu experiences have been of fairly insignificant events. I remember waking up after an unusual dream and thinking: 'who was that person I was dreaming about?' Then years later the event occurs and it all makes sense. A few months ago, I woke up after having a dream that was absolutely unconnected to me. After thinking about it for awhile, I wondered if maybe I was having one of my neighbor's dreams. I didn't know who any of the people were, and wasn't even concerned with what it was all about. I remember realizing that nothing in the dream had anything whatsoever to do with me. For the last few days I have been having dreams that I am sure are the dreams of my neighbor who lives next door. He is seventeen years old and is having a difficult time dealing with the fact that his stepfather is getting a divorce from his mother. The stepfather basically left them, and does not even speak to him even though he has acted as the boy's father since he was in elementary school. His brother (the biological child of this man) still gets a lot of attention from the father, and recently got a go-cart from him. In one of these dreams (a nightmare), I dream that I am riding in a truck with my own father and he tells me to call him Mr. Smith. I accidentally call him Dad a couple of times out of habit. Later, I back the truck up to a ravine that is forming like a slow earthquake behind my childhood home (which I guess represents the split between this boy's mother and his stepfather). I park the truck. The ravine fills with ocean water, and somehow the boy's 11 year old brother (who is the biological child of both parents), falls into the ravine, and he begins to drown. I (as the older brother) jump into the ravine, and swim out to him. It is difficult to see where he is, so my stepfather taps out a message to me of his location by opening and closing the tailgate of the truck. Eventually I find and save my brother. I then pull him out of the water. All of this I suppose is a dream to make my stepfather proud of me, and realize his love for me. By the way, nothing like this event has ever happened to me before. My parents have always been together - and I have never had a stepfather. It is October by the way and I have noticed that odd things seem to happen to me every October. I just woke up from having a couple more of his dreams which were not quite so bad (one involved a girl dressed like Gabrielle in the Xena warrior princess show). Another dream I had involved his guilty feelings for not telling his mother that a friend of his had stolen something from their home. (I have no way of knowing this to be true one way or the other, by the way - I'm not even sure they have ever had anything stolen from them). I am really not very close to him, but only say hello or goodbye to him as I come or go from my home. I am not sure what I need to do. Am I having these dreams because his emotions are spilling out like radio waves bleeding out onto another nearby frequency? Are they any of my business? Does it show that we are all really closely connected to one another, even to people we hardly know? By the way, thanks for sharing all of your experiences. It makes mine seem more normal to me. |
| Date: 10/8/2000 7:49:00 AM One more comment. I mentioned how odd things seem to happen to me in October. I live in the South and this is also the time for the change in seasons from warm weather to cold weather. I just went back and looked at the dates of your posts, and noticed that they are almost all from September and October. There is one in May which also represents a time when the season is changing - only from cooler weather to warmer weather. Maybe our dream frequencies get a little bit out of alignment as the seasons change. (This would be kind of like tuning your car radio to one radio frequency, and getting a little bit of another radio frequency when your car hits a bump in the road). Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. |
