I'm losing confidence in Metallica, though I will probably give their new album a chance to redeem their 1980s-early 1990s traditional ways. Slayer, believe it or not, is expected to come out with something at either sometime in the fourth quater of 2008 or the first quarter of 2009. Though I've laid off alot of their stuff recently, I love alot of their music still and aside from alot of their 1990s works, they're extremely good at getting back on their feet after downslides. |

If Iron Maiden continues their same album release patterns, they'll have a new studio album out in 2009, hopefully. 'A Matter Of Life And Death' (2006) is what you can call typical brutal Maiden style with alot of deep subjects and themes. |

It sucks majorly that Van Halen hasn't released a studio album since 1998. =P Ten years... |

Most of the metal bands that started in the 1980s made legends out of themselves. Then the 1990s came and you had all these gawdy, literal noise pollution remixing, rap-metal fushions, etc., most of which was complete garbage and totally screwed up the metal for much of that decade. |

I think this just might be Metallica's comeback, musically. Also, I really wanna see Iron Maiden... they came nearby back in mid-June but we were just getting back from Vacation, and at that point the only tickets left would've been crappy back-row ones probably |

Oh yea the days when we used to play "The Trooper" over and over again when I was your age.Guess old metalheads never die they just get polished.Well, I am all for listening to new Metallica if Lars can stop whining and play those extreme rythmns the way he does.I have seen a few gigs and at the black tour, I thought maybe Lars and James were really gonna duke it out.Wel I have seen the Metal Scene perspective from a Phil Anselmo way sometimes. |

wow Bru, did they really get that mad at eachother? I knew they all kinda got to eachother sometimes back then seeing how much they toured and got stuck together. I just always picture Jason duking it out with someone on stage, seeing as how they treated him like crap |

I sm hoping it will be closer to the Black Album or Master of Puppets or even An Justice for that matter I know they dont really want to go back and want to progress with the music but the "crunch" of the guitar is what I want most!! I miss that! So I am hoping that they will get back to that!!!! As far as Unforgiven 3?? that is pretty lame but we will see.... So yeah I am looking forward to it and I hope to be pleasantly supprised I have not been happy with them since the Black Album that is the last one I purchased so when I get this new album I will give you my opinion lil bro :) |

Bru I think there was tension between Lars and James for a while cuz of the sobriety issue on Hetfields part I really dont think its cuz Lars doesnt support it I think that he doesnt understand that Hetfield has to live a different kind of lifestyle now.. But yeah I have heard that back stage James has bodyslammed Lars a few times!!! And this is from a reliable source too wish I was there I would have loved to have seen that one!!!!!! And Jason was treated like garbage but I think he was always more mature than all of them except maybe Kirk who had to be the go between alot of times I think. I miss Jason so much no disrespect to Rob but I dont care for him too much! Any way we shall see maybe Angus and I will have dueling reviews!!! :) |

I'm looking forward to the album simply because they are Metallica, but that's also the reason I'm dreading the album. It's odd to be pulled in two directions like this about one of the greatest bands of all time, but really...they should have stopped a decade ago. |

I know what you mean, Nanaki.... I am really excited to hear what they have to offer now. But if they blow it, I will be the laughing stock of everyone that I told "Hey, Metallica is gonna blow you all away with the nxt album!" lol |

Yes it did happen, they were talking smck to each other and James said he could play the drums, that it was easy. Another drum set came out and he played while Lars stormed off stage. Then he came back with a awesome drun solo to show James what was up, that it wasn't even a competion.James could play but it was punk rock meets grunge. It was a wild scene. They seriously sounded like they were mad at each other. |

Ah, I see Bru. It was probably for show, they kinda did the same thing on the Live DVD in San Diego, where they had a drum battle. Who knows, they could've really been mad at eachother |
