Well my dear,1)Lobbyists should only be able to meet in Public forums with the canditates or elected officials,regardless how much they have contributed to the party or person....2)Limit work for corporations from Ex-Government Office Holders to 5 years after, Now they leave office and go straight to the Board Rooms. 3)Allow Energy Policy Minutes from the White House to the public and bypass the presidential blackout, which by the way, has never been done before.4)Stop allowing companies to engage in outsourcing manufacturing to countries with child and captive labor pools...5)Limit the Federal Reserve Boards Power of currency control.This sub-prime mortage crisis is caused by the F.I.C.A. allowing these practices to go on with every check and balance in place.Banks and their corporate associates are part of the govern_m_e_n_t_a_l institution. The Federal Reserve Board is nothing more than a Smokescreen developed by the banking industry to control the highs and lows of trading.Wall Street and Our government are in a new Marriage. We have allowed our government to control every aspect of our lives through the cooeperation of Corporate America.It will continue as long as Popular Culture continully connects products to a target group.As long as We associate the things we buy and the lifestyle we promote it will go on.It is all pervasive and unless we limit what power corporations have with their money and resources,the policies of our government will always be in their back pocket.I am waiting for the ad: Iraq War brought to you by Haliburten,Brown and Root,Blackwater and DynaCorp.  |

You have great ideas Bruiex, I will admit. Yet, I don't think it is possible to separate the two, unless of course a new ideology is created. I like to think positively in all aspects; yet, at the same time I am a realist. Good post though Spirit Child. :)  |

The first thing would be to outlaw lobbyists. Make it illegal to accept money or gifts of any size from lobbyists. Make all meetings between lobbyists and politicians in a public area and all communication would be available for the public to see. Any "secret" meetings would make the politician lose his/her job and the lobbyiest serve 10 years in jail.  |
