My guess was she had a time trying to make the kids understand they could not keep the dog. I hope that's what it was. If that was the case she should have called you and explained and asked you to help get him back. Or maybe the lady was advised by some else that the dog should be returned. People do do things in strange ways time to time and you can see that in everybody including me or you. Like you saw getting him back is what matters. By the way I'm glad to know i have a little pup/kit doggie brother , I thought all you had was cats. DOGS RULE !!! |

They may have been going to keep him, but their conscience got the better of them, and decided they would not feel so guilty for keeping him. |

yay! I'm glad you got Elvis back!! As for the loose collar and such, who knows...I mean for all we know, the kids tried tricking her into "mom no collar it's a stray" and she found the collar later, hard tellin'. Either way I'm glad he's home :D |

aww I'm glad you got him back! maybe she planned to keep him and was gonna pass him as a "stray with no collar/tags" but guilt made her give him back...who knows..just as long as you got him back is all that matters =) |

OH NO! I'm glad you got Elvis back but I hope he wasn't horribly mistreated by these strangers. Some people take some animals and use them for...terrible reasons I don't even want to repeat...I wish Elvis a short, speedy and full recovery. |

Yes..glad he was returned...I feel this womans vehical was one of the cars I saw stopping as I had to after getting dressed.. then run outside in the rain and tried to get my suv turned around. Because our tranny broke and it doesn't have reverse. So by the time I got there he was gone. But also I feel she had lied to me as to where she found Elvis. Here are the problems...Why was his both collars removed? You only have to look at the tags to see if he belonged to someone. After thanking her she stood there as we GOT into our car...til my son promised to give a monetary reward. She then said oh you can give it to my girls who need school supplies. School supplies? School starts next monday...to me those means she didnt have the funds for this. perhaps she WANTED any reward available. She had a funny look about her. It bothers me because now she knows our address. Elvis knows her now. I hope it was all circumstantial. YAY Elvis....is HOME! |
