question about moles

I have two moles on my back. One is large and one is light and dark brown and irregular. I have seen a dermatologist about another mole on my arm, and I have an appointment to see a surgeon next week anout removing it. I had an appointment with the dermatologist today, but I didn't ask about the moles on my back. Now should I wait until my next apponitment with the dermatologist at the end of October to let him see the moles, or should I take pictures of the moles and send them in to ask his opinion to see if I should get the back moles removed as the same time as the mole on my arm?

Date: 8/19/2008 5:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 55297    Im not sure, but if you are worried about it, a call wouldnt hurt. I just had a mole removed on my *cough*chest*cough* and on my back. The one on my chest didnt leave much of a scar but the one on my back left a big scar, but it was a huge mole... :)
Date: 8/19/2008 9:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 55841    I would suggest a visit to the doctor as soon as possible. It may be nothing, it may be something. About 15 years ago, I put off going to my doctor about an irregularly shaped mole on my upper left arm. It turned out to be a malignant melanoma. If you're not familiar with it, it's a particularly virulent form of skin cancer. I ended up having a biopsy, then a surgery to have it removed, resulting in a very ugly and large scar that had to have a skin graft. The graft was taken from my left leg above the knee, resulting in yet another unattractive scar. If I had gone in earlier when I first noticed it, I might have caught it before it turned cancerous. Be proactive and stay safe. It's not worth gambling with. Love and hugs to you!
