"twenty-four hours, off"................kronk

Hello, you!

Greetings and salutations!

It is I, your contact, of sorts,

down on the south coast.

Weather's fair and temperate.

Cool wind, from out the east way, blows.

Soft and easy. Steady.

The few leaves left,

are barely moving.

Perfect conditions to engage in the

smelting of a bit of "rose gold."

"Wear your mask. There is no great need

to succumd to particulate poisoning."

Alchemy, as such, is no great friend

to breath and respiration."

`Least that's what Professor Moon maintains

and if you knew "Moon" like I know "Moon."

you'd understand why it is that I know he knows.

Ugh! Too much science, all at once,

gives me a headache. Soooooo....

By your leave, I'd like to dream a dream for you.

Nothing too intense, `cause today's a work day

and I am so into what it feels like to be distracted.

Scent:

City streets and vinyl seats-

Frozen loam and a country home-

A good sized moon with it's top in shadow-

A fire pot..Whiskey smell..bravado-

Sound:

Yesteryear's V-8's..

Breaking dinner plates..

Voices? Did you hear?

Pop the top on another beer.;)

Sensation:

Evening skies on fire-

Not love. Desire!

"See" a dolphin scream.

"Feel" the mountain dream.

"Touch" my hand with your mind.

Eyes..I love your eyes. I...awwww.;)

Date: 11/18/2008 1:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 4548    i have three blissful days off this weekend. i'm going to go see the bach chamber choir's presentation of joan of arc. i have no idea what that is exactly, but at least it's culturally relevant, and chance for me to wear black velvet lol.
Date: 11/18/2008 1:18:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Jezebel You're such a lucky duckie, my lady. I just finished nights and get "twenty-four hours, off" and then I get to go in two days early, for six in a row. Ugh!...hehe..I think it must be the dreaded "blue crab claw withdrawls' that plague me this time of year. Ummmm, black velvet and culturally relevant, too. I wanna go, just to see you! Thanks for checking out the words, sweet friend. Enjoy...
Date: 11/18/2008 1:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 998    Awww, I love to take the proverbial ride through your poetry Kronk. Never quite know which direction it will swerve into next, but it's always worth the price of admission !!! *Hugs*
Date: 11/18/2008 2:11:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Ginger ...and I just love how you dig the ride for what it is, no more, no less. Such makes me very happy, my friend. May we continue to groove on life, forever. Thanks for coming and stay sweet.
Date: 11/18/2008 5:55:00 PM  From Authorid: 998    My friend, you deserve so much more than my few words could ever convey. Maybe one day I could try to express what you have meant to USM, George and I ... in person. That would indeed be a joyful highlight to all that we have done here on USM. *Hugs*
Date: 11/18/2008 6:27:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Ginger So kind, your words, my friend. I'd certainly like to meet you both. So far, I've been horribly snake bit when it comes to making the get togethers. One of these days, though, I would love to thank you both, in perosn, for all the wonderful hours spent on this awesome site. Thanks so much. You make a fellow feel alive. Right on.....

Date: 11/23/2008 4:19:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Nani Awww, shucks, sister. You're making me old head turn red. Thanks so much, my friend.
Date: 11/23/2008 4:21:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    Hangman Thanks for your kind words, my friend. USM is a waaaaaaaay cool place to be and I'm happy to be here in the company of such fine folk. Stay cool.
Date: 11/23/2008 4:24:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 21435    American Girl Hi, Evie. Thanks for checking out the words, lady. In fact: "Rose Gold" is a mixture of yellow gold and copper. (pretty rose/pink color) I ordered Sangelina a pretty little ring from a place up in your neck of the woods. It should be in next week. I'll let you know how she likes it.
