To say the least, things have been EXTREMELY hectic in my life the last couple months.
As I posted before, my son had been in a pretty bad accident but I'm happy to say he's now doing really well. It was a bit rough at first, he had his surgery and then developed a bad infection which landed him back in hospital along with the worry that the infection could cause damage to the work that had been done but in the end, all turned out well and he's healing up fast.
Right on the heels of that, my last remaining grandma fell ill and has been in hospital as well. A part of her heart has stopped working properly which caused her heart to not pump properly, instead of having a full pump, pump etc like a heart does, it was fluttering constantly. Yesturday they finally put in a pacemaker and when she's recovered the doctors will go in and cauterize (sp) the part of her heart which isn't functioning, if I understand the procedure properly. Due to her age and a long string of past health issues, its been a slow and scary battle as they try to treat her without causing more stress to the rest of her body.
All the while, I've still been trying to pack, clean and organize my move. I happily found a new home a couple weeks ago which is very close to where my new job will be and am set to move to the mainland next friday.
Lets just say, I need a vacation! (and sleep)
