The plan was to go out to dinner and have a nice fun family time. I came home from football practice and nobody was home. The air was stiff and a deathly cold. I sensed something wrong. I started to wonder the house looking for comfort from this erie feeling. The room just over the basement was feeling smaller. I could not explain the feeling if I tried. In this room we have an old horror film chandelier that spins very slowly and makes the disco ball effect seem deathly. I heard a faint sound just below the floor and me being my curious self had to check it out. The stairs creaked for some reason. They had never creaked before. The basement was dark, it is always dark but usually noisy. Something was always ratling or flowing through old leaky pipes. This time there was an unusual silence throughout the darkness of the basement. There were two white circles, and right when I saw them I was certain they were eyes;but I could not see the body of this thing with two human eyes. I quickly flipped the light switch to catch a glimpse of whatever was roaming the still basement. I swear when I turned on the light I saw someone, someone in a black trench coat run straight into, and through the solid foundation wall. You may think this story is just a bunch of bull poop but the irony of the event is, I had a uncle that almost exactly one year ago was doing his job fixing the water heater in our house. He wears a black trench coat to carry his tools in.He died of the water heater falling on his head.
