My Aunt and Uncle used to live across the street from my family when I was just a child. They lived in an old two story house, just the kind you would think could be haunted. They have told me stories about walking up the stairs and hearing foot steps right behind them. My cousin actually saw an appirition in his bedroom of a lady in white. He woke up out of his sleep one night and saw a woman standing at his dresser. It was pitch black in the room but she was illuminated and illuminated every thing around her. He said he saw her touching an empty coca~cola bottle at the end of the dresser that he had left there. She instantly turned and stared at him and he felt like his heart was going to pound right out of his chest. He ran out of the room and when he returned with his parents the bottle had moved to the other end of the dresser. Now for my story. My mother used to go and visit my aunt all the time and take me with her because I was just a baby then. It was 1974, and I was no more than a year old, not even able to walk yet but able to crawl. I guess she had set me down to play with some toys while she visited with my aunt. They were talking for awhile when they heard me crying. She looked over and I was no where in sight so they followed the cries to my cousins room. I was in there crying from behind the door and when they went to open it, it would not budge. They freaked out and called my uncle home from work. He worked just a few blocks away and was home quickly. He began to push the door open and slowly it was opening and he saw that my cousins dresser was pushed up against it.(Just typing this is giving me cold chills) He finally forced it open and there I was sitting in the middle of the floor crying away. They looked around the room and there was no one else there but me. The door! was the only entrance into the room except for the window. When they checked the window it was locked from the inside so there was no way anyone could have come in or out of it and managed to lock on the inside. Weird huh? Im 25 now and I always wonder what I may have seen in that room when I was a baby. I have had weird dreams of a lady in white holding a baby in her arms on many occasions, even to this day. Maybe its her, maybe its not. I do believe its stored in my sub-conscouis some where and it comes out in my dreams. It must have been very traumatic for me. Anyway thats my story....believe it or not. How it changed my life: I have constantly wondered what I saw, and wished to know if the lady in my dreams is her. I want to know first hand if anything like that does really exist. I am a Psychology Major and would be most interested in studying such phenomenon.
