The red-headed visitor

When I was very young, about 7, I shared a room with my younger brother. We had parallel twin beds. I woke up in the morning one weekend and our room was very sunny. I looked over at my brother's bed and saw a woman walking very lightly, sort of tip-toeing, along my brothers bed toward his head. I was not afraid and sat up to look at her. This woman had big curly red hair, and wore clothes that were colourful and sort of Gypsy like. She turned to look at me. She raised her finger to her lips and said "shhhh" very softly. She then crouched down and jumped up into the air. As she jumped up she disappeared. I got out of bed a few minutes later to tell my parents that I had seen the "tooth fairy" checking for teeth. My parents asked why I thought this, as my brother had not lost any teeth. I just replied that she must check every day.

How it changed my life:

I know that ghost stories are not always scary.

Date: 10/3/1999 4:24:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 782    I have no idea of why this "woman" would have been in our bedroom. Being a young child at the time, I never gave it a lot of thought. I just kind of accepted that it was a nice person. Now it's just a nice story to tell. Sort of a pleasant mystery. Kelly
Date: 10/3/1999 9:21:00 PM    To me I don"t think it sounds very real.

Date: 10/4/1999 1:56:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 782    #5, No one did lose any teeth. That is why it was creepy. As I child I rationalized that if there was a stranger in my bedroom it must be some fairytale character. Kelly
