The ouija can be used solo, but should not. It is said that using it solo can cause the person to become obsessed with it in turn harming him or herself. The ouija can be learned quickly. It really doesn't take much to learn, all you need is an open mind, clear thoughts, and a desire to make what your doing reality. The ouija is reliable depending on who you are talking with. If you pull up someone that has trouble spelling or is very slow in it's movements, it is not reliable, but if you pull someone whose movements are quick, precise, accurate and direct, it is reliable, but beware, because the ones who are accurate, are usually bad, because that is their way of hooking you. See your first question. Possible dangers.....Addiction. For a first timer, it becomes a part of you from that moment on. You become intrigued with playing the ouija. The interest builds, but you HAVE to make sure you are in control. Use in candlelight with an open window. People will say the open window is not a good idea, but spirits can only truly come in through an open window or door. Allow them to enter. Night. The best time, preferrably after midnight. With someone who believes in the ouija. If you play with doubters, you usually do not get results. Ok, first--how do I make line breaks with this editor? I've never used one and don't want to, but I know plenty about them: 1. You can use one alone, but they are most effective in small groups. A male and female mix is ideal. 2. Some people learn more quickly. Concentration helps. 3. Some people get outright lies, most answers are hazy at best. Some stuff is astonishingly accurate. The spirit you hook up with makes all the difference. Some just want to play jokes, others give outright lies to trick you. Some are helpful. 4. If you are in a group, don't break the circle. Don't mock or make light of the spirit you hook up with. Always get the spirit's permission before saying goodbye. If you say goodbye and weird things are going on, start another session and ask it to stop. 5. I recommend not using the Ouija with anybody under 21, anybody drunk, or anybody who is depressed or moody. (No offense to you under 21-ers out there--just too many of you who don't know your own self yet.) Turn electical items off or even unplug them. For goodness sake, don't ask for a sign! I have used it solo and I do not recommend it. Its pretty scary when you can't accuse anyone of pushing it! The board will start out being nice and may turn bad after a few days. Beware of spirits telling you they are dead children because they usually lie to get your guard down. They say it works better when you are sober during use and not smoking. Swearing at or around the board is not the thing you want to do. After use, you must remove the tripod from the board. Never leave it on the board when your not using it, because spirits can escape. Also, stop playing if the tripod keeps making a figure 8 and wait a little bit before playing again. The figure 8 means that an evil spirit is trying to get out. If you play alone, don't be surprised if you feel a presence in the house after awhile. I'm not trying to scare you, I speak from experience. I found it easier to get a response by myself by turning the board sideways in front of me. I couldn't get it to move facing me the right way. Very important, never ask about dead relatives or friends! The ouija knows a lot about people who use it. It will try to deceive you by gaining your trust first. Good Luck! Using it solo doesn't work quite as well as 2 people, 1 male and 1 female, that are pure (not under the influence of drugs or alcohol). It is said that if you want to use the ouija seriously, you should have a clairvoyant or medium with you. They can sense whether or not the spirit is evil. This is beneficial because alot of the spirits lie and won't tell you if they're truly evil. The most important part of successfully using a ouija is concentration. You'll achieve more successfull results if your mind is open. It's good to say a prayer before starting (I found this out too late), asking for only good and loving entities. Possible dangers... lol I already wrote about those in my stories... All I can say is: Ignorance is a bad thing when dealing with the ouija. Unless you have a carefully monitored and controlled environment, bad things can and will happen. I don't recommend using the ouija because of my own experiences with it, but if you really really want to try it, be wise and safe. Do alot of research!!! As far as tips go... I agree with the first response. I've heard that candles and an open window assist in successful contact. Good luck and be very very careful!!! -KR- |

| Date: 10/6/1999 12:38:00 PM As a teenager, I used the Ouija board with my older sister an a friend. At times, the tripod moved very quickly. Other times, it became boring and we would stop trying. I never really knew (when the tripod was moving) if it was for real or just one of the others playing a trick on me. I would never have the guts to try it alone! |

The Ouija Board should not be used alone. Bone Thugs and harmony played the game alone and ended up getting addicted to it. Why would someone want to play that game anyway. Dont you know that you are jeopordizing yourself and people of your atmosphere. |

1.NO, it has to be used with two or more pupils. Basically used by female and male. 2.Yes, there are minimal directions on the back of the box. 3.It is not reliable at all. DO NOT attemp to trust a demon. 4.Use white candles to keep the game pure. And say a prayer before you ever unfold the board. |

Yes you can use solo can be learned fairly easly,depending on who you talk to. Well as far as reliable,you cant always be trusted because if the many evil spirits that can fool you. Dangers all the time,dont invite them to stay Practice,practice |

it has never worked for me solo. but good luck if it does for you. Just follow the instructions on the back of the box and there ya go!! Possible dangers. ive learned.. Alot of negativity, and spirits in your home. Clear mind. Candles.. dark room. GoodLuck |

Neither I nor my friend have had any luck using the board solo. Also, we got results from the board very quickly, with few(but some) bad experiences. I would recommend using a homemade board, worked much better for us.  |
