In the summer of 98 my daughter was invited to Camp Rejoice in Kirkmont, Ohio. The campers fairwell service was given by a visiting minister and was unusually touching, so much in fact that I tried to write down his words, after the busses left the church I looked around for the notes I took but couldnt find them ,, I could only remember , May the wind be always at your back and the sun shine warm upon your face.... Later that day, my ex boy friend (who was getting devorced but did'nt) called and wanted to take me for a boat ride across the lake to his Island home. I had not been anywhere with out the children in months so I agreed to go . The lake was calm and the sun was warm and I had all this free time on my hands I figured it couldnt hurt.. Standingin the front of the boat the words of the minister came to mind and I realized the wind was blowing in my face and the sun was on my back so I moved to a position in the back of the boat to get the fealing of what he said... For about 2 seconds it was great, suddenly out of nowhere this huge wave came over the front of the boat, I wiped the water from my eyes to see that half of the windshield was gone and a huge chunk of glass was in the seat behind where i was standing just a moment before, If I had not moved at that moment i would have been decapitated... I had nightmares that night that I was decapitatd and my head fell over, my ex had to make a decision to go back after my head and risk the publicity and everyone finding out or to through my body over and pretend it never happend...I woke up before he made the choice! This to me was a message from God and thank God I listen to the voice inside me or I would be dead... as for my ex he is still married and has not made any decicion (get divorced)to keep me or through me back.. How it changed my life:This experience caused me to be aware that God is watching and sending signs and messages to us everyday.. they are not all as obvious as this but if you pay attention you will get the message.....Later my sister gave me a plaque it is An Old Irish Blessing... May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields and, untill we meet again ,,, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
