I was brought up around a family (we'll call them the Anderson's) and I had spent a lot of time with the family from the time I was able to stay away from home at night up until the time that it wasn't cool to sleep over with boys anymore. For as far back as I can remember the Anderson's always had a shelty dog named Coby. This dog was an equal in this family, as many pets are with families now. She had a spacious fenced back yard to play in and always slept inside. It was a sad Sunday when I saw the four Anderson's walk into church crying. They told a story of how Coby had somehow got into the street and was hit by a passing car. (Which didn't stop to tell the Anderson's) They never replaced Coby, just went on with their lives, trying not to talk about her too much. One night while eating dinner the family was discussing reincarnation and such and wondered what Coby could've returned as. (This family doesn't truely believe in reincarnation, it was just a fun thing to think about) After dinner there was a knock on the door, around 8:30 p.m. On their front porch stood a man holding a stack of magazines. He explained to the Anderson's that his name was Coby and that he would like to try to interest them in these magazines he had for sale. The Anderson's didn't think much about the incident as they are strong Christians with no belief of life after death on this earth, but it did bring a smile to thier face, as it did mine. How it changed my life:This didn't change my life, I just thought it was a very cute and amusing story.
