I can remember when I was little and my friend, Jenny, came over. We made one of those sheet tents in my room and were playing in it with my stuffed animals. I had an old door with one of those bolt chains to lock it, which I never touched. Well, anyway, Jenny and I were playing when we heard this rattling noise. We were scared and alone upstairs so we ran down the steps to tell my mom. She had no explanation and said it was our imagination. We went back upstairs and tapped on everything to find what the noise had been. Jenny tapped the bolt chain and that's what we had heard. The funny thing is that no one was upstairs except for us. The fan wasn't on and the window wasn't open. That chain was really heavy, so wind wouldn't have moved it anyway. To this day we both have no idea what made the noise. How it changed my life: This incident has made me jumpy. I can easily scare myself and I am scared by the tinyest detail. Now, I'm afraid to be alone.
