The sun glared gazingly through the thick, intoxicating clouds. A single infantry soldier ran quickly over the dry, cracked terrain. Wearing a modified gas mask, the scout was able to run easily despite the toxic air. The earth had recently experienced the begging of World War III. The nuclear explosions and fume bombs had left the surface and atmosphere unaccomidating to human beings. The war started in November of 1999. Nuclear warfare soon followed, but was delayed shortly by the Y2K computer virus. During this time, neither the enemy and its allies, nor America could use electronic technology such as; tesla coils, tesla tanks, shock troopers, shock bombs, EMP bombs, and things of the like. The scout stepped lightly over the summit of a large sand dune. He was met by the long, silver barrel of an enemy tank. He was immeadiately surrounded by infantry and attack dogs. The enemy translator asked about the location of America's only remaining base. It just so happens, that civilian casualties had also been high. It was believed that these two forces were the last remaining. As the allied force appeared over the hill, a single gun shot could be heard. The cadet in the watchtower signaled for defense. The women and children were ushered underground and the battle commenced. Slowly but surely, the Americans pucshed the enemy away from the fort, and many men began to fall. A single granadier wound around the fight and came up behind an enemy tank. He lifted the cover and dropped a contact electro-pulse grenade inside. There was much confusion, but the tank exploded sending 90mm rounds in all directions. This sudden outburst crippled the enemy greatly. After all was done, one American soldier appeared through a gaping hole in the side of an enemy tank. He looked around and saw that the fort had been nuked. He was the only one left. The soldier dropped to his knees, found a projuctive weapon, then used it. I suddenly bolted awake in a heavy sweat and screaming like I was the only one left on the planet earth!!! How it changed my life:I now fear nuclear war, and hope I am dead and gone before World War III begins.
