To Writer Well, the fact is that the blair witch project is a load of lies, it is a fictional film though there are claims that it actually did happen. No it wasn't real. The three people weren't actors either though. They wanted to d othis type of a movie for a collage class. The way they made the movie was by note. The director left notes saying follow Joshes voice and stuff like that. Didn't you see those people on Mtv Musice video awards?  |

No, the Blair Witch Project os not a true story. Originally, the creators made it appear that way using the official Blair Witch Project website, which was their only means of advertising due to a lack of funds. There are many websites you can go to which describe the whole process by which the movie was made, and the inevitable debate as to whether it really happened. | Date: 10/25/1999 1:14:00 PM I watched a video from one of the local video stores the other night, the 23rd of October to be exact. The title was The Blair Witch Project. What I saw with my eyes and felt in my heart scared me. I don't know exactly what happened to the 3 students from Maryland, I wasn't there. I do believe that this really wasn't for entertainment purposes...why is everyone insisting that these 3 were seen on the MTV awards show? Was this just a ridiculous attempt to scare people? Was this all just a joke? I am going on my own instincts that what I viewed and felt while watching this was a tremendous aching nausia throughout my body. I know there is a Higher power and therefore there is also Evil. I really am a true believer that Heather, Michael, and Josh were murdered by something with an unproven existance. There is a whole lot of things out in this world that the naked eye can't see but that doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. |

I've never seen so much controversy over the idea if a movie is real or not. I read an interview with the boys who created the story ( it was made up). Just like Bloody Mary, Mary Worth, Vampires, Werewolves, the story is just probably taken from some urban legand, but it's not real. |

I just thought you would like to know that I have found out that the Blair witch project was a sceme of Artisian Entertainment, and it apparently worked because it had allot of people really fooled. Including myself. I looked up an artical from Time magazine August 16th issue, it gave allot of answers as well as Entertainment weekly a July issue. AndAlso entertainment weekly July 30 issue had most of the info. I feel that they should not have done that. Because I thought how unthoughtfull could someone be to publish a movie that was real. So I hope that puts your mind at ease. |

Remember in the beginning, when Heather shown us books about survival? Well, she obviously didn't read them. If she did, then the film crew would have known to survive in the woods.
