My name is Micki and I am one of 6 children. I have 5 brothers. Our oldest brother Kim Wayne Griffin has been missing for many years now (About 10 yrs). We parents still live in a small town Athens, TX. They have lived here since we were in high school. Kim was born in 1956. We feel Kim has been missing cause he wants to be, but we are his family and love him and wish we knew if he was ok or not. We have heard things years ago about him living in the Dallas area and also in the Corsicana, Trinidad and Palestine area. But we never found him. On holidays and get togethers my mom is always sad cause all her kids are here except Kim. She always fears he is dead, but us other kids dont believe so. About 3 years after he was missing we had a search ran out of Dallas Police Dept thru a friend.. from 12 states running his Drivers License number and social security numbers, they found no trace of him driving or any activity on his social security number for the last 2 years. In 1995 I had a friend in CA run his name, birthdate and ss# thru a computer and he found no record of him either, but looked thru John Doe descriptions and said he was 99% sure he wasnt dead. So that gave us some hope again. I desperately would like to find my brother so that my Mom will be happy again knowing he is alive. We dont know what to do anymore except maybe if someone knows where he is. My Mom still has the same phone number as she did when we were in high school and it is listed so he knows where to find us unless he is in bad health or somewhere where he cant get a hold of us. We just want to know if he is ok.. it has been a long time. He would be 41 yrs old. He has two kids in this town and they both would really love to see him or know if he is OK. About 5 yrs ago a man called my mom and dad and said he transported cars back and forth from Dallas to Houston and he called them saying that he had been driving on the Hyw. had his 2 yr old granddaughter with him and he heard a voice telling him to pull over. He said it was very strange. He said he finally pulled over for he didnt know what was going on and the voice came to him and ask him to write down these words. It told him my parents phone number and said to call them and tell them I am OK!! He said it said tell my dad I love them. Now isnt that weird? So we always thought maybe it was Kim, but why that way?? Was he dead?? My parents failed to get the man's name that called, so we dont have a clue again. If anyone can help in letting us know of his whereabouts or his safety, we would be so happy. You can contact me by my email if you know anything.
