One night around ten ,my mom came into my room to bring me some clothes that had been washed earlier that day.I started to put them away, and suddenly I felt like I was being watched.I asked my mom to stay in my room with me for just a little while...you know, until the feeling passed. She agreed, and around about eleven or so, the feeling still hadn't gone,so I asked her to lay in my bed for a little while and watch some TV.She did,and we drifted off to sleep. Right before we slipped into a deep sleep,a loud 'BANG!' came from the upstairs. We shot up out of the bed,and went up to see what it was. We searched and searched for the sight of the sound, but found nothing. No box had fallen,no door was opened, nothing. We figured that it was probably a branch hitting the roof, but then remembered that no trees were overhead or anywhere nearby. 'Oh,I know what it is,Mom.' I said, very confident that I knew exactly what it was.'It was the crawlspace door.'(which had a nasty habit of falling off). She agreed, and we opened the closet door, exposing rows of quilts and covers. The crawlspace door was still closed. Well,to make a long story short, mom went down and got dad,who got his gun(he's a state trooper)and checked the house. He found nothing. Always trust your instincts. How it changed my life:Taught me to always trust what I felt right.
