It was Christmas eve 1994 and I was driving home from collage at about 5:00 am. It was very snowy and foggy going through stevens pass in washington. The fog became so bad that I had to pull over and wait for the fog to clear. I didn't think that It would take long because it was also very windy. Plus in all that was already going on I had to go to the bathroom. After a while I decided that I could not hold it any longer. I either had to drive to a rest stop in the wind, snow, and fog, or go in the woods. I chose what I thought would be the safest thing to do. So I got out of my car and started to walk in to the woods. I started to hear sounds like a person yelling for help and it just kept getting louder and louder. But the thing is that the person wasn't saying anything it was just a loud mumble. I decided to follow it because some one could be in seriouse danger but for all I knew I was the one about to become in danger. As I walked quickley through the woods I was getting cold really cold I started to shiver and get goose bumps all over my skin. I kept going though. I finally reached an area in the forest with an opening, as the wind blew the fog started to clear and I stared through the light fog only to see what I thought was BIGFOOT! I didn't know what to do at frist so I just stood and stared. I was witnessing something that was beleived to be a creature of another century. I stared in amazzment still in ahh. I was about to turn around and go back to my car when (s)he spotted me through the thick layer of fog. I tried to move slowly but it didn't work (s)he came sprinting after me, so I took off like a bullet. I ran as fast as I could hoping that (s)he would lose me in the fog. When I saw my car sight I looked over my sholder to see if (s)he was still there. (s)he was still behind me about thirty feet. I kept running faster and faster and finally I reached my car. I open the door as I watched it come closer and closer. I jumped in, shut the door, and pressed the button in my car that locks all the doors. I turned the keys and watched her/him fade away into the fog in my mirror. I sped all the way home just so wanting to be near sivilazation again. I will neverr forget that morning. And I feel lucky to have witnessed one of the many unbeleivable creatures in the world. How it changed my life:I was very pleased to have witnessed one of god's lonsome creatures, but if I could do it again I don't think that I would chose to, once is enough for me.
