A Shower of Roses   Author: 17  Category:(Angels) Created:(8/28/1999 10:48:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (1849 times) One night approximately 3 years ago (I was 11 years old at the time, I'm 14 now), I was up in Maine visiting my father for the weekend. My mother was back at home all alone. I was laying in bed all worried about her because I thought something bad might happen to her since she was alone. I was in tears imagining all the bad things that could happen to her since the house was in a really secluded area. This crying went on for several minutes. I really don't know why I was so upset, I guess I just missed her and was afraid that if something bad really did happen I would never be able to see her again. All of a sudden I felt this warm sense of relief as though someone was somehow telling me everything would be okay. I also swear I could smell the scent of roses, even though there were no roses in the house at the time. My mother often prays to St. Theresa and has many pictures of her in her room. St. Theresa has been said to send down a shower of roses to those who pray for her. I was not praying to her this particular night, but she may have been sending me some sort of messege telling me my mother was fine. I believe my mother is very close to St. Theresa and that is why she sent me a shower of roses which was the scent I was smelling. Is it possible this was a spiritual encounter? How it changed my life: This event made me have a stronger belief in the power of prayer.
