My grandfather was battling cancer for half a year when finally, in November of '97, he passed away in his bedroom. My cousin, Cynthia, started living with my Nanny so she wouldn't have to be alone. I myself was having trouble dealing with his death- I pretended he wasn't sick. I wouldn't visit him until he got better which he never did. A strange thing occurred in that house about a week after his death. My Nanny had left the house for the evening and Cynthia was planning on going out for an hour that night as well. She made sure the TV and radio were off and made sure all the lights were out before she exited the house. All the doors were locked when she left. When she returned approximately an hour later the doors were still all locked. She didn't think anything was wrong, until she entered the house. There was classical music flowing loudly throughout the entire house. Cynthia was completly baffled and slightly frightened. When she had left the house everything was! off. Not only that but even if she had left the music on it would have been one of her alternative CD's not classical. My Grampy was known for listening to classical music. When my Nanny arrived home Cynthia asked if she had returned home. She said that she hadn't. Therefore no one else could have entered the house without break and enter which there were no signs of. And Cynthia was positive that she herself hadn't put the music on. Could it have been a ghost? How it changed my life:It made me believe in the supernatural and that once someone has passed on from this world they can still watch over us.
