My name is Michelle Monks and I am looking for some family history. My mom was born Anne-Marie Frohlich, in Bad Neustadt, Germany, in 1946. Her mom, Winnie, was a translator for the german army. Somewhere along the way, she met my grandfather, Patrick Francis. They had 2 children, mom and Klaus, her younger brother. Grandpa was in WW11, army, and ended up AWOLing. Rumor was that the Army didn't like his fraternizing with my grandma and they gave him a deskjob in the US. He lived in NY and died in NY. He never met my uncle. After he died, my grandfather's sisters wrote to my grandma, their names were Louis Franco and Margaret McGuire. One of them worked for a major department store. I would like to know where they are and more about my grandad, if you knew him/them please write, I hate the 'unknown'. Thank-you, Michelle.
